Except for the 602 and some tender boosters on hump engines, N&W did not use boosters. So 602 is the only one in abram's question.

Yesterday I watched a digitized old movie of Booster-equipped engines on the Lehigh & New England RR. The Boosters exhausted through an orface on the top sheet of the tender, behind the slope sheet.
This made me realize that I do not know how N&W engines exhausted spent steam from the Booster.
Anyone know the answer...?
