VGN Rails 1953-1993 is all color. The photos are very well lighted and
presented.  Chapters include Sewells Point District, Jarratt District,
Altavista District, Roanoke Terminal, Whitethorne District, Princeton and
area branches, Winding Gulf branches and Guyandot River Main and branches.
A significant portion of the pics are of equipment in the VGN era or paint.
I got lots of modeling ideas and inspiration from this book.

Where the VGN is being rebuilt through the Appalachians in O scale.

 

Hello - Does anyone one on this list have a copy of "Virginian Rails" by
Kurt Reisweber?  If so, what can you tell me about it? Does it have lots of
color photos or is it mostly B&W? Is it just roster-shots of engines or does
it show a lot of scenery and town scenes?
