UP/NS merger.
For better or worse like marriages, mergers happen.
How many mergers did it take to get to the N&W?
How many mergers were there from the N&W to just before NS?
What merger is the cutoff?
WHERE is the cutoff? Only Virginia? Only Virginia West Virginia? 1959? What
about the Ohio extension? Do we cut off before the N&W crosses the Ohio
River?
We don't even have NS on the Peavine since 2014. That doesn't stop me from
studying, documenting, exploring, teaching and ran fanning the Peavine.
That train still runs on a rail line built in the late 1800's.
I have met a lot of people that have lived on the Peavine their entire
lives. If not for our magnificent archives and the magnificent people that
built and maintain it, I wouldn't have learned things about the Peavine
that I have, and the privilege to pass it on to others. Just my 25 cents
worth.
