N&W ore service and equipment

Yes it was the only Lake Erie ore dock on the N&W.

Yes standard coal hoppers half loaded were used to transport the
taconite pellets.

My experiences saw various coal hoppers that were in good condition used.

Logic would say SD9s and RSD12s were used. Perhaps when coal was taken to
the docks 6-axle power was used? All the pictures I've seen showed 4-axle
power being used. I can't imagine that 4-axle power was the norm!

All my experiences were in the 70s to early 89's.

If someone could add to or correct my notes please do.

Ed Painter #73 from Narrows, VA (I lived in NE Ohio for 9 years in the
70's).
