I assume the society is a 501(c)(3). That means companies or individuals could have their contributions to the society, e.g. printing costs,etc., as a charitable contribution that counts towards their income tax bills.</div>

<div dir="ltr">Printing shouldn't cost more than $100-200, depending on what we get. At work, we use Staples or whatever office store to print items quickly before trade shows, and I've never been shocked at the prices. I'd have them fold it for us, too (they
have machines that do it). We can be fluid in our quantity with whatever minimum order amount they may have that makes the most sense.

<div>250-500 would be a good start. If we run out, that is a good thing! We could consider having them printed at a local office store and letting the local member pick up, so we save shipping expenses and save on admin tasks at The Archives (storage, shipping,
tracking shows, collecting addresses, etc...)

<div>I appreciate that members are willing to print flyers on their home computer. Another organization I belong to locally does this as well - however the quality of our end product varies greatly, and even the best don’t match the quality of print house production.
And the cost still exists, it’s just defrayed to member’s pockets. My guess is that it’s more expensive per-unit than a production house bulk job.

<div>Rather than printing at home, would members be willing to donate $xx to the society for centralized printing and shipping? Home-printed versions could be used as filler if their stash is exhausted for a given show. I’d be willing to pitch in. On the surface,
I think this form of advertising (high-quality product well displayed at member’s personal tables) would certainly help promote awareness of the Society.</div>

<div dir="ltr">Why complicate things? I think we need one, catch-all flyer for everything. One that could be downloaded and printed out to be passed out at train shows, events, passed out to random clusters of railfans, etc. Doesn't have to be in color or
fancy -- just serve the basic purpose.</div>

<p>As I know everyone is well a aware, the cost of everything has skyrocketed over the last few years and this includes printing services. More membership brochures are currently being done so that we can hand them out at the shows where we will be represented.
Since we haven't figured out how to get commissary stock out to those who will be representing us at a reasonable price yet (let us know if you have ideas/suggestions), I sure would like to have a one-page, commissary flyer to give interested folks along with
the membership brochure.</p>

<p>The problem is, of course, cost. Does anyone out there have access to copy/print capabilities that could produce such a flyer in quantity for a reasonable price, obviously the lower the better.</p>

<p>This could help us boost our sales and allow us to do more things in the future.</p>
