Since C&O had main lines that followed the Kanawha River and eventually the New River and points east, I would imagine that any passenger rail service to Kayford would be provided by the C&O. I'm confident that freight rail service was available at Kayford since the mine was large enough for the company to build the town to support the mine. </div><div class="elementToProof" style="font-style: normal;
