I have been going back through pertinent sections of BDC and WV and I find very little about Ruth, at the East end of the first Elkhorn tunnel. Ruth is listed in time tables and you place it at the turnout where the old line up MIll Creek joined the low-grade line. This would be in the same vicinity as the Sterling and East mines, I believe. Was there a community there serving miners or anyone else for that matter? Was there a station or company store there to facilitate passenger/freight service to this location. That is a it just depends question. The N&W passenger agency at the Lynchburg Coal & Coke Company store at Kyle was closed on February 11, 1926. The passenger agency at Jenkinjones was either in the company store or the coal company office across from the store. </div>

Your second question is answered by knowing where the depots were built which is contained in the valuation books at the archives. All of the depots in West Virginia are listed in "The N&W in West Virginia ~ 1881-1959." They are also included in the and in

N&W only built three depots on Tug Fork Branch - Wilcoe, Gary and Anawalt. The Anawalt depot was moved from Pageton.</div>

I am trying to tie a list of timetable stops to "station" buildings. Any advice on the best way to do this?</div>
