Recently I pulled a tour of duty on the Conrail side of  things in 
Hazelton Pennsylvania. While there I was treated to a visit to  the 
Anthracite Model Railroad Societies club house and massive H.O. scale  
two tier layout that features the Lehigh Valley railroad from 
Hazelton  to Jim Thorpe, Penn. The layout is 90% and the vice 
president is a big  N&W fan and to my surprise they brought out their 
N&W equipment  and had a good ole' N&W running session. I supplied a 
BL J- class 611,  and they hooked me up with a N&W passenger consist. 
They where a very  hospitable group and they came out a videotaped the 
gang working and  loading onto flat cars in Jim Thorpe. I also was 
able to enjoy the  everyday operations of the Reading and Northern 
railroad, and got to see  the Lehigh Valley Scenic Railway in 
operation, I got to enjoy the fall  colors free of charge as NS 
tracks  mostly parallel the LVS tracks  from CP M&H junction to CP Jim Thorpe.

Sorry Abe they cancelled my  Harrisburg journey, now I am off to 
Stubenville Ohio.
