Gee, Harold, you do have an excellent memory.  On  the
other hand, my carburetor never has been modified.
Vaguely, I seem to recall  Exporter  illuminated  by the
flood lights at Oakwood.
 
Now here's a teaser -- the most vivid memory of
Exporter happened on a Sunday afternoon at
Suffolk in 1971.  It was on the rear of No. 3.   As the train
departed Suffolk, the observation platform was  filled
with Japanese.  To what department or officer  was
Exporter then assigned to ?
