McClure's statement is wrong, and I have told him so.   Jim Nichols

Jim. In the McClure book he says that "the station wears the last scheme of light cream with brown trim". (1950s). This seems to indicate that white/green was earlier. Ed.

For 1940-48 use buff and brown or cream and brown. Do not use Green and white. They are much later.

This may be a newbie type of question, but what era are these colors
correct for?  I'm interested in about 1940-1948, and at least one
station I know of on my short line (the Danville & Western) was jointly
owned by the D&W and the N&W.  It would be nice to know what color to
paint the depot.
