N&W Info Needed

If You have  N&W in color book   Vol #3   page 10     1776 had  the  basket.  If  you look  close at  other photos 
thruout  the  book,   You can see the  baskets...    LM  York  Pa

Gentlemen: 
The circled object in the photo of N&W SD-45 #1746 is a spare knuckle basket.  This has pretty much been standard on NW & NS Diesels for a long time.  Probably since the early to mid 1970's.
