Being 4th in line.

Wish they would have held off on the N&W until closer to a more reasonable delivery date.

I have over $2500 tied up and telling customers it would be July 2018.

Very disappointed that they collected deposits with three projects not delivered.

Just my opinion.

I have dealt with the Chinese, Japanese and Koreans in the electronics business for 30 years. I know nothing ever comes as timely as promoted. But hope bounds when paying up front. Patience must follow when delays inevitably prevail, but being 4th in line for production may mean 2020 before they get here.

I have yet to have a Chinese supplier deliver on the original schedule. As a model railroader you should be used to this by now.

I am sure that Bill has many bruises on his cranial region from this exercise.

The cabeese and cabins will be here when they get here, not one minute sooner. And there is not a lot Spring Hill can do to change it..... Unfortunately.

So sad to here this news. I guess my trains will continue to run with "fake" N&W cabooses.

I really hope that the N&W caboose don't take as long as the B&O caboose's. I ordered my I5's in June of 2014 and we're hoping to have them this year. They have done such accurate and beautiful work that I can't wait to see both the B&O and N&W models.

Gentlemen:
I got an update from Bill Carl of Spingmill Depot on the disposition of
the N&W preordered Caboose.

Apparently things are screwed up in China at the moment. But,it has
nothing to do with the trade war but rather the new environmental
regulations the Chinese government is implementing on -ALL- factories.
Bill stated that Intermountain has stopped putting dates on their
projects and instead are using status eg Taking Orders, In Production,
Shipping, etc. He also stated that Rapido has posted some videos on
YouTube explaining the difficulties they are experiencing as well.

Also, capitalism is working in China as their factory had a lot of
workers who did not return after the Chinese New Year because they took
higher paying jobs at other factories. So the plant manager is working
through several issues and they are trying to assist him where they can.
Bill said that he is working toward sending a mass email soon
explaining some of the finer details.

He has no dates at the moment but believes the cars will arrive in the
following order:
B&O I-5 cabooses (Alton, GM&O)
B&O I-1/2/3 cabooses (Alton, GM&O, SIRT, BC&G, B&OCT, etc)
DODX flat cars
N&W cabooses
