Martin: The main question that I have is, when did N&W start laying welded rail and were these cars used.
The Rapido cars I believe were NS cars lettered NW because of the orange used for the racks.

This question was posed to me last weekend.

I was not aware that in the late N&W era there were CWR trains, that is a more "modern" thing. Subsequent thoughts were maybe they were ex N&W cars that NS used as cores and consequently kept N&W reporting marks while in NS MofW service?

I noticed that Rapido Model is producing [ https://www.trainworld.com/rapido-138406-ho-f30d-50-rail-flat-car-n-w-mow-6-pack.html |
Rapido 138406 HO F30D 50' Rail Flat Car : N&W - MOW: 6-Pack. ]
I have never seen photos of these cars. Are there welded rail cars photos of the N&W? I know the Rapido cars are not exact.
