Barry and group
I was at the show on Saturday and I looked at the test builds that they 
brought to display. They look great but I am not a caboose expert so I 
cannot provide a detailed review. They said that the I 5 line of 
cabooses are ready for production but they are now waiting for the 
tariff situation to hopefully get better. This is my thought on that 
comment and I am not in the model RR production business but I think 
they have to pay something up front when they place the production order 
and that comes out of their pocket until someone purchases the model 
when it comes out. I can understand this because if they pay the tariff 
amount now they might not get that difference in cash payed or credited 
back to them which means they lose money on the deal or we pay more for 
the model. Again I do not know the situation and I might be wrong on 
this. Also in my opinion please keep your negative comments about Spring 
Mills models to yourself. The negative comments do not show us as a 
group in the best light and other manufactures see this and might not 
bring out a model that we all might want. Or worse yet even ask for our 
help in the design process for their models.
