Apparently, a truck turned across in front of them, failing to yield the right of way. Both were wearing seatbelts and died at the scene.<br></div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">Those of you who didn?t know them, this is very sad. Charlie and Ellen were both very fine folks. Charlie was a long-time archives volunteer and came in every Thursday. His knowledge of the system and how to find things and his understanding of what is out there are unassailable and irreplaceable. Charlie is the one responsible for us having the collection of N&W Mechanical Drawings.<br></div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">I?ve been totally punched in the gut with this news, and I really cannot really post more at this point. But Charlie and Ellen were good friends of mine.<br></div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">No other details are available at present. Apparently, a truck turned across in front of them, failing to yield the right of way. Both were wearing seatbelts and died at the scene.<br></div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">Those of you who didn?t know them, this is very sad. Charlie and Ellen were both very fine folks. Charlie was a long-time archives volunteer and came in every Thursday. His knowledge of the system and how to find things and his understanding of what is out there are unassailable and irreplaceable. Charlie is the one responsible for us having the collection of N&W Mechanical Drawings.<br></div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">I?ve been totally punched in the gut with this news, and I really cannot really post more at this point. But Charlie and Ellen were good friends of mine.<br></div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">No other details are available at present.
