This is the framework: the dark room, the sound of my voice alternating
with songs or pieces of music picked for their thematic relevance and
resonance is a listening exercise, a way of trying to understand something
physically. Music's affect is in the ear, brain and mind's eye and not on
the page. It's a way of thinking away from the printed word.

Please come this Sunday, December 4 at 7pm to

Artists Space
38 Greene Street
New York City
($5 or members free)

where Junior Aspirin Records (Andy Cooke, Dan Fox and Nathaniel Mellors)
will present the fifth in a series of Audio Annotations for Dexter
Sinister's Serving Library project. In line with the three-screen
projection currently being shown in the space, this one is concerned with
"Identity."

This session will serve to inaugurate Bulletins of The Serving Library #2,
advance copies of which will be on sale for $15 (also available at
http://shop.dextersinister.org/index.html?id=275) and individual PDF
"bulletins" are freely downloadable from www.servinglibrary.org. Both
include a *retrospective preface* to the Audio Annotations, and the whole
series of podcasts is now also available online.

Whiskey will be served at 7, listening will begin at 8 sharp. Please be
prompt so as not to interrupt the music or disturb the lasers.
