where artist Rita McBride and designer David Reinfurt will activate the 
Momentum Manifesto (2023) in connection with the exhibition Rita McBride: 
Arena Momentum. Taking the form of a very large-scale poster, Momentum 
Manifesto chronicles 25 years of Arena at major art institutions around 
the world and articulates the parameters of the work's copyleft status. 
The poster ends with this advice from Rita McBride:

Here are some tips to give your work a life.

1. Disguise your work as a functional object. Arena has been free to 
travel the world because it has minimal value as an object.

2. Keep control of where it goes and how. Artworks become trapped by their 
perceived value. The system of value in the art world destroys an 
artwork's intensity and vitality. Making objects for sale makes them 
surrogates for capital.

3. Plan the future of your works as you make them, or before, as 
everything conspires against their longevity.
