[Slowhand] Clapton's memory

He mentioned on the recent South Bank interview that he wrote the book
now or he wasn't going to be able to write it at all because he would
have forgotten everything. I was also amused by his saying that he had
researched some of the information for the book from web sites. Perhaps
the reason Clapton didn't include much technical stuff in the
Autobiography is simply that he couldn't remember. With his addled state
for much of the middle part of his life, it isn't really a shock that he
can't recall much of it, and perhaps that side of things hasn't been as
well documented on the Net!!
