A SPECIAL CALL TO ACTION BY:

We have all experienced tremendous loss and upheaval in our professional and
personal lives.  We offer sympathy especially to those who have lost loved
ones during the Hurricane Katrina tragedy. 

1) We are attempting to assemble a master list of contact information,
including cell phone numbers, temporary address, etc.  We are starting with
EDC and Chamber, but will expand to all businesses in St. Bernard Parish.
Please respond to this Email A.S.A.P. 

2) We are also attempting to schedule a meeting and conference call to
business principles with interests in St. Bernard Parish.  The meeting to be
held in Baton Rouge with simultaneous conference call. 

3) This arrangement will be used to: bring you up-to-date on post hurricane
business issues, your intentions for rebuilding your business, your NEEDS
for rebuilding your business, problems you have experienced with relief
agencies and insurance claims, and your vision regarding the future of St.
Bernard Parish. 

Gary Huettmann, Executive Director, EDC has an office at the Capitol Annex
with the LA. Dept. of Economic Development.  He will pass along difficulties
you have experienced to parties in a position to help.  He will also direct
available LA. Economic Development resources to St. Bernard businesses in
need. 

Remember to respond as quickly as possible.  You are welcome to include
information on any St. Bernard businesspersons you have been in contact with
since the hurricane. 

We appreciate the investment you have made in St. Bernard and look forward
to assisting in your rebuilding efforts.
