Does anyone else have their flood insurance with this company? They have
contracted with Sweet Adjusters to handle claims. Even though I filed the
flood claim on 9/6, my assigned adjuster has yet to return my calls. When I
asked the Sweet rep why they weren't using FEMA's simplified method of
processing claims like State Farm is doing, I was told that if the property
is accessible by vehicle then a site visit was required. Clearly, this is
not the intent of the FEMA direrctive dated 9/20. Why are some companies
paying off claims based on zip codes and others mandating site visits? I
live in Bucaneer South and my home had water over the roof for several weeks
and I feel as though I should be eligible for a payout based on the
simplified method. Any suggestions?
