Council Discussing Ways to Honor Katrina Victims, Town Hall Meeting on
Radio, and Job Fair

Council discussing way to honor victims of Hurricane Katrina and those who
rescued survivors; Weekly Town Hall meeting resumes on radio; Job Fair
Friday at West Jefferson Hospital

The St. Bernard Parish Council is discussing ways to honor the 123 victims
who lost their lives in Hurricane Katrina and the public employees and
others involved in rescuing survivors, including a possible monument to
them.

Council members, meeting Tuesday, Nov. 1,, said they want to look into the
design of some type of monument to the heroes of the Aug. 29 flood as well
as he 123 victims

A weekly Town Hall meeting on WWL Radio for St. Bernard Parish residents to
call in and discuss issues with parish officials, which debuted Oct. 27,
resumes again Thursday, Nov. 2, and will be held every Thursday at 11 a.m.

A Job Fair will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 4, at West
Jefferson Hospital for medical and other types of positions.
