The sad thing is that there are people who are willing to prey on the
unfortunate.  This is a time when everyone needs to treat the entire parish
as one big neighborhood and everyone is a member of the neighborhood watch.

I had a friend who was cleaning his home in Chalmette when he noticed a
truck that was driving around with out of state plates and stopping at
different houses sifting through stuff.  He contacted the Sheriff's office
who immediately dispatched a unit to investigate.

If we all do our part to watch and report, we should be able to keep looting
to a minimum.
