[StBernard] St. Bernard Baseball Teams Win!

St. Bernard Parish was very represented  this past weekend in Gonzales, LA.
when three St. Bernard Parish travel baseball teams played in the USSSA
State Championships.  
 
The St Bernard Hurricanes (a 12 year old AAA team)  won second place in
their age group.  The STB Tigers, an 8 year old team, took first place for
their age group.  Also playing in the tournament was the Bayou Diamondbacks
(8 year old team).  I do not know how the Diamondbacks placed. 
 
It was so nice seeing these teams play baseball considering all of their
families had lost everything.  Each team had lost all of its equipment but
that did not stop them from playing.  
 
It was amazing to watch these kids play baseball because most of  these
teams had not practiced in months. They looked as though they had practiced
yesterday.  
 
CONGRATULATIONS HURRICANES AND TIGERS!
