I rec'd the same info about having insufficient losses for housing
assistance. I called and actually reached a FEMA rep tonight and was told,
they can not assist me farther because I have insurance and they have to
hear from the companies first. They have to know how much I will get in
insurance before they can help me. Did the people who rec'd the $10,000
have flood insurance? Were they offered a trailer? I am renting and could
use additional assistance also. Flood and Allstate have been no help so
far.

When I returned to Texas after the parish allowed us back in to view our
home, a FEMA letter was waiting for me. I was ineligible because I had
insignifigant damage & they didn't have my signature (kind of hard to do
when you submit the application on line !) I went to see FEMA in Ft. Worth
& was told the adjuster couldn't get in the parish to view my house so he
closed the case because they don't get paid until the case is closed. They
were upset that the adjuster had done that & re-opened my case. I have
gotten the $2358, but nothing since & my rent is more than that. But I know
of some relatives that have recently gotten $10,000.00 from FEMA.
