Music superstar Tim McGraw, a Monroe area native, is tentatively expected in
Chalmette on Tuesday to see the storm-ravaged parish and meet with
officials.

McGraw, 38, has won two Grammy Awards, including one this year for Country

Structural engineers have completed inspections on all homes in St. Bernard
Parish but not all of the information has been entered into a data base,
which can be accessed through the parish's Web site at www.sbpg.net,
according to Mike Hunnicutt, director of community development for parish
government.

All of the information should be available online by mid-December, Hunnicutt

said. The inspection reports rate homes according to structural damage, with

properties rated 1 having no visible structural damage and those rated 3
having significant damage and are unsafe to enter.

Residents can also continue to sign up on the second-floor of the parish
government if they want to have their homes demolished, he said.

More than 350 people have signed up to have their homes or businesses taken
down at no expense to them.

St. Bernard Parish Council member Kenny Henderson has announced the birth of

granddaughter Sidney Guerra, born Nov. 11. It's the council member's first
grandchild.

The child was born to Kendal Guerra, daughter of Henderson, and her husband,

Troy Guerra.

Parish water division officials are advising residents to run water faucets
for five minutes or so to eliminate rustiness before drinking.

State health officials have said the water is now safe to drink without
boiling from Jackson Barracks to Paris Road, south of West Judge Perez
Drive. Other areas are expected to get the same okay shortly, according to
Chris Merkl, head of the water and sewer division of parish government.
