I'll try. If you are in the parish, (ahem) go to the white tent (ahem) to
the IRS and State tax tables. They have a little class about it.
La. State dept of revenue has a form to calculate reimbursable 4% (or less)
state tax on purchased movable items lost in the storm and not covered by
insurance or grants. In other words, it is an inventory list with date of
purchase (as the sales tax varies prior to 80 something), deduct insurance
content coverage, deduct any fema grant, the rest will have the La tax
reimbursed. Hope this is as clear as the mud in my house.
