If you are a registered voter of Louisiana who has been displaced as a
result of Hurricane Katrina or Rita, you are still eligible to vote in your
home parish.  There are presently three ways to vote in Louisiana: (1)
absentee by mail ballot, (2) early voting in person in the Registrar of
Voters office six to twelve days before the election, and (3) in person at
the polling precinct on Election Day.

For more information on how to vote or how to register to vote in upcoming
elections, please contact your home parish Registrar of Voters office or the
Louisiana Secretary of State Elections Division by email at
elections at sos.louisiana.gov or at 1-800-883-2805.

If you decide to register to vote in another parish or state, your voting
rights will be affected in your home parish.  For more information, please
contact your local Registrar of Voters or Secretary of State.

Whenever your temporary location changes, please contact the Post Office to
change your address.  By doing so, the Post Office can forward your mail to
