PARISH UPDATE FOR 12/16/05

Business Development

The list of returning businesses continues to grow.  The website is listing
those businesses in bold that are operational currently and those that have
stated they will return to St. Bernard in the future.

A business development trailer has been set up in the parking lot behind the
government building (the new government complex).  A phone number should be
set up shortly and will be listed.  The business development contact locally
would be Charles Ponstein and in Baton Rouge is Gary Heutmann.  Businesses
needing employee trailers have had very good success with the assistance of
Gary through the economic development office at 1-866-310-7617  option 1.

There will be a business workshop for long-term vision planning for
businesses on January 7 at 3:00 p.m. at the courthouse.
