Sam,

Got your message- I still stand committed to assist in whatever way I can
to help the business community of which I am part of, or at least was and
hope to be again.

Happy New Year,

Craig

I thank you for your forml input. I attempted to email you personally, but
the emails keep getting kicked back. I was told by Polly that your emails
are clogged. I attempted to call you on your cell and left numerous
messages with your aide. I do not agree with your formal input. You are
entitled to your OPINION as much as I am, but, as we know, you have the
power to make parish policy and all I continue to have is an opinion. I
will continue to attempt to reopen my business. I will advertise my
business in whatever medium is availale. I will continue to think that
most policies and formal input are designed to benifit the entire parish.
All I ask is that the council accept the fact that business owners are not
able to operate their businesses in the same manor as before the storm.
This will not change anytime soon! You can put up all the billboards,
resource guides and the such that the council feels appropriate to help
businesses find customers. In the end, it all boils down to opinion.
As for the signage that blew into your car. I apologize for the legitimate
businesses that have put out a few signs on public property and hope it
wasn't one of ours. In my opinion, this was caused by the wind, not by the
sign. The sign may have been placed on personal property and not on the
neutral ground. I have left a letter for you at the council office,
outlining my opinion in full.
I pray you understand that we are both entitled to our opinions and agree
that we may disagree on certain topics, and that we continue to be fast
friends.
