Governor Blanco prioritizes $100M for business bridge loan program from
Community Block Grant Program
Pledges commitment at Louisiana Recovery Authority meeting

"Our people can't come home until they have their jobs back. So, the first
of my immediate plans is to pump $100 million into our economy by creating
another bridge loan program for Louisiana businesses hurt by the hurricanes.

"Our businesses are starving for cash. They can't put our people to work. We
quickly used up the first $10 million we made available for bridge loans.
Another $100 million will put more businesses - and more people - back to
work.

"Let me say it again. Louisiana can't afford to wait. Our businesses can't
wait. Our workers can't wait."
