On Wednesday, Dec. 21, Professor Matthew C. Hudson, GRAES, Chairman, Scotia
Prince Cruises, donated all deserts for the St. Bernard Parish Christmas
Party open to the public. The event was held on the Parish Government
complex grounds and approximately 2000 children attended with their parents
and received gifts from Santa Claus.

Professor Hudson also hosted a Christmas luncheon for parish government
employees aboard the Scotia Prince Cruise Ship on Thursday, December 22,
with a feast prepared by Chef Bryon Kam.

At the event, St. Bernard Parish President Henry "Junior'' Rodriguez
presented a plaque with a symbolic key to the parish to the cruise ship and
its officers for all of their help and assistance in the relief efforts of
Hurricane Katrina. Capt. Bengt Wilmen accepted the plaque on behalf of the
Scotia Prince Cruise Line.

Professor Hudson has also adopted 5 local families affected by the storm. He
will be providing clothing and other needed items the families have
identified as necessities.
