A Special Baker Plan Town Hall question and answer forum, led by
Michael DiResto, the spokesperson for Congressman Richard Baker, will be
held on Saturday, January 21, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. Florida Blvd. Baptist
Church, 10915 Florida Blvd., in Baton Rouge. The Forum is specifically for
displaced residents of St. Bernard parish and their guests who have
relocated to or near Baton Rouge because of Hurricane Katrina.

The Town Hall Forum is part of an ongoing weekly premier event called "The
Gathering! coordinated by United Churches of St. Bernard Parish.

"The Gathering! Is intended to be a time for displaced
residents of St. Bernard parish to reunite with displaced family and
displaced friends. It's a time to reconnect with our neighbors and restore
that special sense of community that we enjoyed pre-Katrina."

"The Gathering!" is comprised of two segments: (1) An
inspirational portion of "The Gathering!" led by participating pastor's of
churches located in St. Bernard parish, followed by, (2) An informational
portion, a question and answer forum, led by two or three representatives
from either the federal, state or parish government, or their agencies, or
leadership from the civic, and/or business arena, etc.

The aim of the informational portion is to provide a question and answer
format whereby displaced residents who do not have the opportunity to attend
various meetings conducted in St. Bernard parish, or whose needs are greater
than what the media provides, can receive personal attention, answers to
their questions, possible solutions to their problems, and/or referrals to
appropriate agencies and or parties that can be of assistance.

For directions to Florida Blvd. Baptist Church telephone 225-272-3740.
Children are welcome, however, nursery services and child care are not
available.
