Hey Laurie,

We are implementing a process to go after these homes so others can be
handled. Some legal hurdles, but we will get it done.

Hang in there. There is more activity starting in the neighborhood, but
still a long way to go.

I would like to know if anyone has any opinions on Lexington place. I lived
on Bradbury and there is a house that is crumbling on my front lawn. I can't
tell where it came from. I talked to Craig and the lady at the place where
you sign up for the gutting and they both said they didn't think the owners
gave permission for the house to be demolished yet. I signed up to have my
house gutted but when the volunteers get there, I don't think they will be
able to gut my house because of the house on the lawn so close to mind that
it could fall on them at any moment. I go back once a week or so the check
on my house and this house looks worse everytime, it is deteriorating.
Working around my house is impossible because of this other house. I don't
mean to be insensitive to it's owners, but can't they take pictures or video
or something if they need that for insurance purposes or whatever? It is
obvious that this home cannot be salvaged or entered because of it's unsafe
condition. It has been nearly 5 months for goodness sake and enough time has
passed to have this safety hazard removed. I think it is hampering the
recovery of the street and the neighborhood. It looks abandoned down there
and it's very bad, very little progress seems to be have been made,
especially on Bradbury. I would like to know and hear from others in
Lexington Place as to if they are returning or not. I am very homesick but
also very confused about what to do.
Laurie
