Wendy, That is a great idea and a great letter; am going to write one of my
own; you covered it very well though! Mudpie

Jim,

Who is singing that song. Oh, by the way here is a copy of a letter
to
the editor of the nytimes i sent last night- I can only pray it gets

published in it's full form

Maybe I'm just partial, being that I'm a former resident of the
Greater New
Orleans Area now residing in Maine, however, I have come to the
conclusion
that this administration is just plain clueless. In the State of the
Union,
the president dedicated an entire 8 lines to the largest natural
disaster to
ever hit US shores. THEN, two of those sentences were looped in with
his
wife's agenda. We're facing record deficits, an entire region of the
US is
unstable (more so than Iraq), inflation is on the rise, banks are
about to
be faced with massive foreclosures or lapsed loans on property with
no
value (is this the beginning of a depression), and the State of the
Union is
strong? Maybe instead of riding around in a hummer or bus, next time
GW and
EVERY CONGRESSIONAL PERSON should get on the ground and help a
family gut a
home. That is the only way ANYONE can truly see and feel what it's
like to
lose EVERYTHING! THEN, they would see we are from from being strong
anymore,
we were in the beginning, now we're just tired. We are tired of no
help, we
are tired of no answers, we are tired of the rest of the world
getting aid
and not our own, and we are tired of being in limbo. We need answers
not
press conferences so that we "joe citizen" can then make the choices
that we
must in order to move on.
