The State Attorney General's office recently released an opinion as to the
definition of Loss of Use:

#05-0382
If the language of the loss-of-use provision in an insurance policy is not
specific as to the cause of loss-of-use, then  noncompliance with parish
building codes means that it is not fit for use according to the plain,
ordinary and generally  prevailing meanings of use and inhabitability.
