Craig,

Maybe you can help me. I have been to the FEMA tent no less that eight
times since September to see about getting a trailer on my property. About
a month ago a contractor did call me to come out and measure for a trailer,
but once he arrive I had questions he could not answer, so he took me to the
contractor's office where the trailers are distributed and it was there that
I was told that since I live in a condominium on Jean Lafitte Parkway, they
would not allow a trailer to be placed on my property because there would
not be enough room for emergency vehicles to gain access. I was told to go
back to the FEMA office and let them know what was going on. I did that,
but FEMA could not tell me whether or not I was relegated to the end of the
list or if my name would remain at the top of the list for a placement in a
trailer city. I was very, very upset with FEMA and insisted on talking to
the person in charge of the trailers at FEMA and he (I believe his name was
Troy) sai
d that he would call me, but he never did. I noticed that they are
clearing land on Judge Perez across from the goverment complex. I would
like to have a trailer in that park because it is close to my home and is in
an area where I feel safe. Since I am a single woman, safety is very
important to me. Is there anyway you can help me or direct me to someone
who will sit down with me and discuss the situation? I think I have been
overly patient, but I have reached the end of my rope and I simply cannot
take more time off from work to go to FEMA and sit around for two hours just
to have them tell me nothing more than that I am in the system and I just
have to wait for someone to call me. Any assistance or information you can
provide would greatly apprecited. Thanks.

Jana Tolar
