[StBernard] Street problem

Craig,
I live on Alexander Street by the railroad tracks. Due to the home in the
street in front of my (and my neighbors)house, our lawns have been used for
a street since the storm. This has now become a MAJOR problem. The lawns
are rutted at least 3 feet deep, some of the sidewalk and driveway cement is
broken, presently my water meter is broken and water is bubbling up.
Besides the fact that I can not use water in my home because until now the
meter was buried and crushed under the muck of drivers passing. Now its
just additional broken.

Over the past two weekends we have seen a large utility truck get stuck and
pulled out, and a local woman got stuck this week as well. Additionally, a
tow truck evidently got stuck and left his trailer with the truck he was
towing stuck in the mud. There it still sits.

How can I get the parish to do something, like fill the holes with rocks,
fix the water meter and hopefully have drivers not break it again.
Please let me know.
Maria
