[StBernard] Councilman Craig Tafaro's Response to Murphy Oil Class Certification

Thank you, Craig, for the information.   I was angry that my freedom to
choose what action I wanted to take was stymied by one greedy individual
who is only out for his own gain.  He will reap hundreds of thousands,
maybe, millions, while those he represents will only receive a pittance,
if any monetary settlement at all.  Being in such a rush to be the first
to file, only cut short the time that we had to settle with Murphy if we
wanted to.  I feel as if my rights have been violated. If you had a call
in to Murphy or were in the process of settling, I think that you should
still be allowed to go forward with the course of action that you chose.
This should be my choice and only my choice.  Neither Sidney Torres nor
any other lawyer involved in this class action are interested in our
welfare.  You can bet we won't see them out there spending their big
bucks to clean our houses.
