[StBernard] Churches or Grocery Store???

I can attest to Steve and Karen Fecke being involved and giving to the
community.  I have been involved with the American Heart Association St.
Bernard Chapter, St. Bernard Business and Professional Women's Club and
several other organizations.  Steve and Karen have given whole heartily to
us personally and from their business, and they get involved in the clubs as
well.
 
Many of us loved our parish, but it is hard to come back when you are unsure
of the entire future, not saying we will never return but for the time being
we have to go on with our lives.
 
It has been almost six months since Katrina and the parish can't tell us
exactly what is going to happen and where, will certain areas be parks, golf
courses, just green space.  We are going to hold on to our property for
however long we can then make a decision if we will definitely rebuild, we
own 2 houses two in Buccaneer Villa North and 1 in Arabi on Cougar.
 
I love and miss Chalmette and all my friends, my club organizations,
everything was so convenient.
 
Think about what you say before you criticize people who make other
decisions then what you want to hear, they do it for their own reasons and
personal choice, just like the decision you make to come back to the parish.
