Just a little note regarding insurance...
I have been fighting with my homeowners insurance
(AIG) for months regarding my contents.  After contacting them about a
million times, and having words with my adjuster on several occasions, I
finally got them to agree to pay for the contents above the flood line - we
received our check yesterday.
If you are persistent and bug the crap out of them, I think you will
eventually get more than what they were originally willing to pay for.  It
takes time and A LOT of patience, but it may be worth it in the end.
