St. Bernard Council to continue debate on recovery plan

St. Bernard Parish residents can hear more about the parish's Citizens
Recovery Committee's plan today at a public meeting in Chalmette.

The St. Bernard Parish Council will discuss the committee's recommendations
today during the meeting, which is set for 11 a.m. in the brown and white
tent behind the parish government building on Judge Perez Drive, a parish
news release said.

Because the parish wants to submit a local recovery plan to the state in
advance of the March 20 deadline, the council has set two other public
meetings this week to discuss the committee's report. Those meetings are
noon Thursday and 9 a.m. Saturday.
