The proposed areas along canals is primarily to address increased drainage
storage and capacity.

Did anyone with the parish ever state WHY no one should rebuild along the
canals.?

 Some of these areas were very well maintained, great neighborhoods. I live
along a canal ( Gallo Dr.) and spent a lot of money on a bulkhead to
preserve my property.
