you do is raise your house 3 feet, then the next time this happens you'll
only get 9 feet of water in your home instead.

So, if you're going to raise (or completely rebuild) a home you'll find
there's not going to be a tremendous cost difference between raising 3 feet
or 12. Just be sure you get it above where the highest water line rose to

**Of course, John, I couldn't have said it better. The math adds up: 12 feet
minus 3 feet equals 9 feet in arithmatic models. What more is there to
understand besides a flood is a flood. So much for slabs..
