Governor Blanco's statement on Entergy's New Orleans return 

"Entergy's decision to return its corporate headquarters to New Orleans is
welcome news to the citizens of New Orleans and Louisiana, as well as to its
thousands of employees. I called Wayne Leonard this morning to congratulate
him on a wise decision for his company and a wonderful decision for New
Orleans. 

"In recent months, Wayne and I spoke several times about the future of his
company's headquarters. In every conversation, I assured him that Louisiana
greatly values Entergy's corporate presence in New Orleans - and now Hammond
- and is committed to helping Entergy succeed and thrive. 

"Like the city of New Orleans, Entergy sustained devastating blows, but to
their credit the company's leadership and its dedicated employees never gave
up on Louisiana. I commend Entergy for this decision and what it says about
the company's confidence in the future of this great city."
