[StBernard] garbage

"Craig, if Waste Management quit, is there anybody else taking their place
to pick up household garbage at the street curb for residents? If so, how
can we find out pickup day on a particular street? If no one is coming,
somehow I missed that publicity because I wouldn't put bagged garbage out to
linger. I didn't find any info on the parish website about garbage pickup."

*Somehow, we know that times are bad when we quantify our time in da parish
working around a 'garbage' issue. It's astounding to face the fact that
we're inundated in unusable commodities.

"To our former CAO- Sorry to hear that you are leaving public service.
You're a local St. Bernard guy who has had a great career and you have
served your parish well. There's never a good time to leave an organization
and people that you have worked well with for so many years, and it's even
more difficult in the aftermath of Katrina. We wish you well in your new
endeavor."

*With a home on the northshore, a career can easily be handled. At times,
I'm sure that some will leave a post more wealthier than when they arrived.
We'll see how things turn out as time evolves. Career changes sometimes come
when the heat is on... (and not necessarily summertime)...we shall see when
the final chapter is written..
