TO EVERYONE,

We tend to exaggerate the good news of things. The reality is that there
are increasing numbers of people doing some type of work to their home- I am
hopeful that it will be an impetus to have them return.

Good luck and God Bless,
Craig

CHALMETTE, La. St. Bernard Parish president Junior Rodriguez says there are
now just under 20-thousand residents back in the parish.

Figures compiled by the parish's community development department estimate
about 19-thousand-500 residents are living in FEMA trailers, homes,
apartments and boats in the parish.

St. Bernard had about 67-thousand residents before Hurricane Katrina.

There have also been about 76-hundred building permits requested for
structural modifications, about 74-hundred permits requested for electrical
work, and about one-thousand permits for gas work and some 3-thousand-800
permits for electricity in FEMA trailers.
