Last Wednesday, HUD released a program that will sell homes to Hurricane
Evacuees.  In order to be eligible to buy a HUD home, clients must be able
to present a FEMA number and letter that states their previous residence is
uninhabitable.  Starting May 1, HUD will have a 5 day lottery to buy a HUD
home.  The buyer must use a HUD approved real estate agent and use an FHA
mortgage. These homes will be extremely affordable as HUD will assist with
closing costs and utilize eligible programs.

registered brokers in Louisiana.  Select your city and agent's contact
information will pop up on the next page.  These agents will be able to
answer detailed questions about this program.
