I will be releasing an update on behalf of the council today.  The 31st is
still in place for notification of your intention to the office of community
development and the council has set the date of June 9th as the deadline to
sign up for demolition or gutting.  If you miss the date then that is an
indication that you will handle your property independently.  As I will
explain in the update, the number of houses and the time it will take is a
major consideration.  I will also try to update answers about how the LRA
plan and the rebuilding guidelines will tie into this.

Is May 31st still the deadline to sign up? What happens if you don't sign up
by then but change your mind in a few months and want your home demolished?
We're still waiting for some answers from FEMA and the Parish.
