Even if there will be a buy out...

Gaby,

I have been sitting back reading your posts for a while now, and I find it
to be increasingly evident that you are the "official" of this blog. In my
estimation, it is simply not possible for any one person to write as much as
you do and have time to do anything else with her time. The focus right now
should be on how to get each person's life back together after this
incredible misfortune. By antagonizing and prodding people with your
demands, you are not only not being productive, but you have made me not
want to do anything to my property.

You see, I am one of the people in the "oil zone". My family and I do not
plan to move back, and we had to pay an enormous amount of money to
relocate. The fact of the matter is, the time we spend fixing things and
taking care of things will go to the new house. Until something more is said
about what is going to be done with the homes in the parish, I will have my
hands tied. I refuse to put any money, work, or thought into fixing my
property. I am slated for the "free" gutting, and the "free" debris pickup.
I do not think people should have to pick up after me, but I also think it
is unfair that the individuals and businesses in our area should pay for
anything out of pocket after Katrina. The government said the levees would
hold. They even said that we would not need flood insurance. Now I want them
to tell me that they will pick up the tab, and send the proper cleanup crews
to do the job. I may want a lot, and I probably won't get it, but I can tell
you one thing- I won't budge until they do! BP
