At this point Congress is in recess, except for those that are afraid their
offices are going to get raided like Jefferson's.

The spending bill you are talking about is in conference committee, which is
where the House and the Senate get together to hash out differences. As
with anything involving Congress, the odds are 50-50.

Does anyone have the knowledge about how far we are in the Congressional
process? Isn't there a committee of both houses presently undertaking the
task of revamping what both the Senate and HR passed to a final bill to be
signed into law by the President (and hopefully NOT Vetoed!)..?

What point of the process is currently given the going over of pluses and
minuses in the bill which will be the final copy of the bill? Haven't seen
it on C-Span.. Thanks.
